What is student exchange?
Victoria University of Wellington has student exchange agreements with universities around the world. The agreement enables students from an exchange partner institution to study at Victoria for one or two trimesters whilst gaining credit for their home degree.
Exchange agreements are reciprocal; Victoria University sends students to partner universities abroad and also receives them. Students are chosen by their home university and nominated to the exchange partner for final acceptance.
Each exchange partner waives tuition fees for its visiting students and students pay their normal tuition fees to their home university before departing on an exchange programme. You must first be selected by your university and nominated for the exchange before you can apply to Victoria University of Wellington.
Contact the International Office at your home university if your university appears in the list of our exchange partners (below) for information about application and selection requirements. You must first be selected by your home university and nominated for the exchange before you can apply to Victoria University of Wellington.
If you can not find your home university listed, you can still apply to do part of your degree at Victoria University of Wellington as a fee paying study abroad student. To find out more click here.
